Teak leaf leather

Teak leaf leather is a type of leather made from the leaves of the teak tree. It is a vegan alternative to traditional leather, as it is made from plant-based materials and contains no animal components. It is also more sustainable than traditional leather, as the teak tree produces fresh leaves that are used to create teak leaf leather. The teak leaves are removed from the trees and formed into a solid sheet. Then, a thin environmentally-friendly lamination is applied to make the leather more durable and resistant.

Cotton

Cotton is a soft, fluffy fiber that is obtained from the seed capsules of the cotton plant. It is one of the most important and widely used natural fibers in the world and has been used in textile production for millennia.

Cotton fiber has a naturally smooth surface and is lightweight, breathable, and absorbent. It can absorb up to 25% of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp. Cotton is also very strong and durable and can last for years with proper care.

Tomato leather

Tomato leather is a novel material made from a blend of 50% cotton, 30% tomato waste, and 20% biopolymers. It is a sustainable alternative to conventional leather, which is often derived from animal hides.

The idea behind tomato leather is to reduce the amount of waste generated in tomato production. Tomato waste is typically discarded, but by using it in the production of tomato leather, it can be transformed into a valuable resource. The cotton and biopolymers act as binders to process the tomato waste into a durable material.

Tomato leather offers many advantages over traditional leather. It is more environmentally friendly as it is made from sustainable raw materials and produces less waste. Additionally, tomato leather is highly durable, breathable, and water-resistant.
